Carol Davis

Carol Davis is the widow of former Raiders owner Al Davis. Al was the principal owner and managing general partner of the Oakland Raiders from 1972 until his death on October 8, 2011. Davis had hinted in 2006 that Carol might succeed him.[1]

When asked in 2007 who would succeed him, Al Davis again confirmed his intention that Carol would take his place, claiming that then general manager Ron Wolf was "very close to Carol."[2]

Personal

Little is known of Davis' personal life. In late 1979, she suffered a serious heart attack which placed her in the hospital for three weeks, but later recovered completely.[3]

Davis has one son, Mark.[4]

After her husband's death, Raiders chief executive Amy Trask said that the team "will remain in the Davis family."[5]
